Yes. There is a lycoming part no. for a puck that slips about halfway up on the dipstick to keep it from flexing enough to chafe.
Since I’ve never actually seen said part on a lycoming dipstick, they must have been discontinued at some point.
I made one out of UHMW. A 1/2” thick disk about 1/8 in. diameter smaller than the i.d. of the filler neck. The hole drilled in the center was small enough that it was a snug fit to slide it up the dipstick.
It has never moved in 700 hours.
