Hi
I’m finding surprisingly little information on Aero-Lites here, which is odd given that their pricing seems quite competitive.
I’m looking at using a combination of the AeroLED VX landing and taxi lights mounted in the wingtips of my RV‑8, together with the Aero‑Lites position/strobe lights in the wingtips and their tail light in—well—the tail. I’m fully aware of the FlyLEDs options and have dealt with Paul, who is excellent, but I’m not a huge fan of the way the lights sit in the wingtip. The Aero‑Lites and AeroLeds approach just looks a bit tidier to the eye. If Paul offered this style of light, I’d know exactly where I’d go.
So I’m curious: who here has used Aero‑Lites, and what has your experience been? If you’re running the same combination between aero-lites and AeroLEDs VX, even better. Photos would be very welcome.
I did message Aero‑Lites last weekend and haven’t heard back yet, which always puts me off a little. At the same time, AeroLEDs feel a bit too expensive for what they are (what isn't in our hobby?), and it seems like a good chunk of the price goes toward their very active marketing.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Rogier
