It sure looks like it- I believe they have the announced jackscrew trim system and final tail feathers installed, but there is still evidence in the roof of the door pillar area of the original flap handle pivot bearing, which has been there for a while.

Definitely has the jack screw. I could see under the horizontal stab where there was a spot to cover a gap where the jack screw is and can slide.

Not only that, but I see NO trim tab on the elevator... and the new fairing on top of the horizontal has a space cut out to allow for its movement.

Personally I am shocked it is not the new/final version fuselage ready to be seen and go on sale. I am overly curious what has been going on in Aurora these past few months?

Maybe they have it designed and ready to sell, just not show yet, but it seems it would be on a flying plane.

We are going to be waiting tapping our collective feet with completed wing and tail sub-kits.

I think this is an important week in that timeline. My expanded comment from another thread.

This is clearly the old fuselage. It is what it is. I don’t mind if they take time to get it right.

Will dig into the brakes thing while here at OSH. I didn’t realize Vans is doing their own branded parts now, which means this will likely be part of the kit. With no option to delete, that makes Beringer a harder choice. TBD

Are you an experienced RV builder?
If so, you know the time that is involved in building a fuselage.

There is a huge difference between a kit builder taking fully developed parts out of a box and putting them together, versus building the very first prototype of a new design.
I believe the major portion of the design work is done ( or maybe even all of it).
Moving from that step to producing all of the tooling and production drawings for the production area to use to make parts, getting all the necessary parts produced, Assembling them the first time while documenting the process in order to produce all of the KAI drawings and instructions, and then basically building the entire airplane again, even when this time being able to attach already completed wings and empennage is a huge undertaking.
Knowing where they were in the development process, I would have been shocked if they showed up with a fully revamped airplane.

This will be my first RV build, not my first build

I spent many years in product development...
There comes a point when modifying an engineering test article becomes more work than just making a Prod unit from scratch.

N7357 is an Engineering test article, Prod wing, Prod tail...
How hard would it be to knock out a second set of wings, tail, add them to the new fuselage...

I wonder if "The surprise" is another plane, N415XV with all Prod parts; wing, tail, fuselage...

Make it and fly it East incognito, and have it arrive at KOSH Monday first thing.

"The greatest showman on the earth"

From the not so recent comment storms on VAF for other issue, discrepancies from the expectation of the crowd will create a comment storm. I hope Vans takes its time and releases only the parts that are ready for production.

I was thinking along the same lines, but not for this Oshkosh, as probably not ready yet.

I think it’s possible that they won’t put the new fuselage on the currently flying "Engineering Prototype", but on a new build instead, as the "MOSAIC Demonstrator”.
