Tank sealant applicator

For small amounts, a ziploc bag works well. Load the sealant into a corner, twist up like a cake decorating bag and nip the corner off. Squeeze and twist as needed to feed the sealant out.

I thought about syringes but thought it maybe too thick, that would be perfect since. Its not a lot just for the elevator SB, the show using a tube of some sort.

These work pretty good

Yep. Slip the syringe into a caulk gun for extra leverage. Works great.
Also good for drawing primer from a can. Zero mess and waste

Another vote for the SEMCO sealant gun. It just works so well, keeps mess to a minimum, easy to clean up after, puts out a nice consistent bead ... I don't recall how much they are, but I don't think they are that expensive.

Brown tool has a good selection of sealant tools if you are looking to make a luxury tool investment.

I like icing/piping bags better than zip-locks.
The Semco style sealant guns are worth every penny !

Semco (or knock-off). More than worth the money. Buy a used one and resell afterwards; probably recoup 90% of your money. That said, never getting rid of mine.

How do you clean the Semco style guns? I'm chicken-S&!t about that kind of thing. MEK is not easy to come by here, I'm curious about the suitability of alternatives, plus disposal of the fluid after cleaning.

Does someone make one like a calk gun? I have the two parts in a can version vs the tube version.
I'm not sure if this answers your question, but it's very easy to "modify" standard painters caulking guns to match the ones made by Semco ...

The blue handled one I made for 60ml syringes - much easier to use via pistol grip than with the "ears" on the syringe.

HFS

YMMV - But this is a cheap solution.
