First RV flight in seven days. A little .5 to shake the rust off before it got too hot. Pretty good batch of extra paper route simulations coming up, so today was the day….bumps, heat and all. Flew over the hospital where my wife volunteers - sent a picture - replied with the little emoji of the lady waving.
You can see the new high voltage transmission poles (red/white stripes) in the 3-D view - they are running the wires now just north of the runway at my home field on the south side of 1171. The student pilots here are gonna have to work a little harder. I opted for the overhead break to keep things inside the road. Don’t have to deal with them that way. No big woop in an RV, just keep an eye on the AOA and exercise speed discipline. Made me think of that REM song from 1985 ‘Driver 8’. “The power lines have floaters so the airplanes won’t get snagged.” Good song in Em, dance tempo 4x4.
We got floaters now, and that song makes me miss my ’78 Audi 5000 with no a/c and kick ass cassette setup. And hair. Duran Duran hair.

I used "Herculiner", truck bed liner from Lowes. Exact same compound as what Spruce sells for half the price, from the same company, but a different label. Put it on thick and it has a rubber feel rather than the normal sandpaper feel.

How’d you hang your 14/10 wings for painting
So the build is pretty much done and it’s time for paint. I’m looking for ideas on how to hang the wings for painting. Especially the wing tip end. How’d you secure the cradle to the ribs/spar? Did you paint them hanging or on a rotisserie? Any pros or cons to a rotisserie? Pictures would be...

Problems putting on new wheel pants
I am putting Sky Designs Aero pants on a flying 10. Inner bracket is on. There is a required spacing for the outer bracket. It seems that the axle nut that is on the plane already will either be way too short or too long. I have new Grove axle nuts that seem to offer the right length BUT...
