Went to the hangar Monday a.m. to work out. Arrived to water covering about a third of the floor (rains during the night around 3”). Strong TSRA that didn’t move much. The drains couldn’t handle it. Two hours on the shop vac and we’re back to normal. Not the workout I was planning, but it counts. ;^)
Thinking of doing occasional contract flying to help out with bills? Don’t expect glamour. Here’s the pilot lounge I used this past Sunday. At least it had a/c.

Completely destroyed a rivet head
While working on the HS (riveting the front spar to the innermost inspar ribs) I completely mashed the factory head of a 470 4-7 rivet. I was using the double offset for the first time, and the gun slipped off the rivet head. These rivets proved difficult to set anyway, and I was paying...

Bear Gulch fire from last week. All the firefighters went home a week earlier and then it exploded with some some very hot days. Only 2% contained. First day of Fall. Bringing wings out this week. Getting there. Rear window installed. Other side. Tail feathers permanently installed...
