A Favor Please.
As uncomfortable as this makes me….. being self-employed means that out of necessity I need to occasionally promote myself so that I can keep a roof over my head and the VAF servers ON. As some of you know, VAF is my primary job. God Bless you wonderful folks who support it with a badge under your username, along with some amazing advertisers. I’ll keep trying my hardest to bring you a quality product worthy of the yearly donation.
I could use your help with networking if you have a minute.
Outside of VAF, maybe once or twice a month, I earn some side money as a SIC in the Phenom 300 and/or King Air 350/200. Not nearly as busy as I would like. I’m also working a third job in a simulator a couple days a week which keeps me legal in the Phenom and KA. Self employed life ;^)
If you are inclined to help, would you forward www.DeltaRomeo.com (my flying resume) to any peer or acquaintance you may know that occasionally contracts out the copilot seat in the two aircraft I am typed in (or anybody you know who flies single pilot and occasionally uses an additional ATP-rated crew member for insurance purposes). I’ll gladly run the radio in a SP Citation, PC-12, etc.
I am PIC current in both the Phenom 300 and King Air 350, and will happily raise the gear, work the COMMs, get the papers, ice, coffee and bags for anyone nice enough to call. Have laptop. Will travel.
I appreciate it if you are willing to help me network a bit, and thank you for enduring this groveling commercial.

The 50,000 hour RV project
Saw a couple of yellow flashes on the panel on your takeoff roll. One was a slight prop overspeed which we all know can be adjusted away , but the other looked like low oil pressure. Do you know what was going on there? Yes, I need to tweak my low-pitch stops... this is one of the things I...

You only running 1 comm? Sorry, missed this back then. Yes, only one comm. After many years experience in my last plane with a -255 with monitor function as well, I am quite comfortable with a single comm and a handheld backup in the cockpit (and have decided radio navigation is not a...

Starter Contactor short to ground?
Hi all, I am removing a disaster of an electrical system from my (new to me) RV9. I have found many issues - some of which leave me shaking my dang head, and frankly some are downright deadly. I found this and not sure if I am missing something or if this is another piece of completely wrong...

RV-3B Dave's in Colorado
After removing the RH Pmag and changing some fittings, I managed to eliminate the interference and still have one of the hoses fit. It helped to have a strong shop light oriented carefully, as well as removing some of the LH Pmag’s leads. And I did buy a specialized wrench which proved...

Get the cap all the cool kids are wearing! I don’t get a penny. It’s around $15. $5 more if you want your N-number on the back (I put 'STAFF' on the back of mine because it makes me laugh. Put STAFF on yours too if it makes you smile). And down the road $10 to the charity of your choice...
