The last rivet

A milestone was reached today. I had to fix a droopy wing tip trailing edge and realized the last rivet was upon me.

Everything is now in place and tomorrow will be the first flight.

Final W&B came in today at 1170. My test pilot will need a case of water in the back. Fat boy won’t need since I outweigh him by 70lbs.

First start was successful but idle was rough so didn’t do a first flight today. Engine ran strong a higher power settings. #4 EGT was high suggesting a bad plug and I will pick up some new plugs in the morning. Will also check that there isn’t an air leak in the fuel system between the shut off valve and the fuel servo.

A bit disappointed that first flight didn’t happen today but maybe tomorrow.
