I am looking for an effective sun shade for use in an 8/8a and so far have seen the Jet Shade and Kroger advertised. All their marketing says they both walk on water but what i really want to know is how well do they actually work. Specifcally, how goode is visability through the Jet (both regular and premium) and how well does it cool (does it really replace a travel cover) and for the Kroger how easy to opperate while flying and how effective is it?

I’m hopeful someone has used one or both. Thanks in advance for any insight.
 
Not seen jet shade on a RV myself, hardly see a RV without a Koger shade. Easy to use in flight, blocks light, not filters light. Keeps heat out. Two sizes for more coverage if you want it. I seldom have a need to look up when flying, so seeing through a sunshade is not a requirement for me, likely same for most. I don’t fly inverted often 😝
 
I have the Koger shade and it works great. It will block your view when all the way forward in anything but a shallow turn.
I just slide it back for maneuvering, forward for shade. It locks with a small thumbscrew.
 
Kroger shade (large size), and
Slap shade that I move around (glare from wing).
And, if the slap shade starts to loose its stickiness, use a window cleaner to rejuvenate it.
 
The Koger is great in an RV8. Quality, great flexibility, and keeps both seats happy. I can't imagine a better solution.

I have an RV8 Koger Shade I purchased from Aircraft Spruce that I never installed. Message me if interested. I am likely going to buy a Koger Shade for my new to me RV14 . . . .

Thank you all for the responses and you Craig for the offer. Considering the overwhelming vote for Koger I went and ordered one. The early bird missed the worm this time.
