Several years ago, I contacted the RCAF to get the paint numbers for their blue/gold CF-18 airshow demonstator. I got the runaround with requests for formal licensing and gave up in frustration. Eventually, however, I designed my own colour scheme for the Rocket:
Today, I learned about the 2016 CF-18 demonstator's new livery. You think they would have approached me for a license, but nooooo!
Flew it 50 hrs so far this year and only 5 hrs in my Husky. You can guess which one I am having the most fun in!. The F1 is an awesome plane to fly and the speed plus performance is unbelievable. I lucked out finding this plane as I had almost given up looking until a great guy in Nevada answered my wanted ad.Still working on better landings but that never changes
It seems the Evo with it's larger and more efficient flaps wants to keep flying. I have come to raising the flaps as soon as the tires are on the pavement - the tail comes down immediately when the flaps start up. This is also the crosswind technique.
Great paint scheme!! I originally thought about checks on the tail of my F1, but my paint scheme was simplified by cost.
Enjoy,

Yeah I miss mine, great airplane that we were blessed to have many adventures in. It was the closest thing to the F16 I could shoehorn into my home turf strip..
