Hello RV-14 brain trust
Vancouver, Canada-based pilot here currently evaluating a potential RV-14A purchase in upstate New York and hoping to connect with someone who may be willing to help with the diligence process.
The aircraft is a 2022 builder-owned RV-14A with an IO-390 EXP119, dual G3X, IFR-equipped, approximately 200 hours total time. From my conversations so far, the seller appears to be an experienced and detail-oriented builder, but he’s an older gentleman and not especially digital, so part of the challenge here is simply organizing/reviewing records and evaluating everything properly from a distance before I travel out from Canada.
As many of you know, buying an experimental remotely is fundamentally a workmanship and systems diligence exercise. I’m hoping to find someone who:

- has experience evaluating build quality/workmanship
- is comfortable reviewing logs/build documentation
- may be open to assisting with an on-site inspection/pre-buy in the northeast US if things continue progressing
