I removed both wings today and found four (4) rivet heads missing on both L&R F-1270 Side Skin Doublers. The doublers were installed in 2017 at 316TT with no damage to the side skins. Hours now = 1040TT. I operate predominately off of a private grass strip, so maybe added stress / vibration from rough field?
The same rivet position failed on both sides, so something common is going on here. The common CS4-4 that failed is at the bottom of the rear vertical row of CR3213-4-2 cherry rivets. I have looked at integrity of all the rivets on the Side Skin Doubler, and even though paint is not well adhered, the rivets all look good and remain locked tight...
