Yes, it’s completely doable in a Vans aircraft. I flew many times to Mexico when I had my 7A.
It’s just paperwork and knowing the bureaucracy, but the flying experience (to me) is easier than in the States.
Join Baja Bush Pilots. They are awesome and will help you with the “Experimental Aircraft” permission.
And, their Eapis + Mexico (and Canada + other countries) filing system is great.
Also, check out the “BuildFlyGo” videos where they took an RV 14 to Brazil. There is also a person (from Brazil) currently flying around the world in an RV 10.
Do your research on each country + requirements. Being prepared, makes things easier. Finally, do it! Ignore the snarky/snotty comments from folks that wish they could do it, but never will.
