Fuel tank tendril section

I'm at section 21 where they state to remove "tendrils" inside the tank while inspecting it. Having not worked with proseal before question is: How firmly attached of a tendril should I be removing? There was a couple that were fairly long 1/4" to 3/8" or so but when I pulled on them it exposed a rivet underneath. After reading all the posts about pressure testing woes, not sure if that's a good idea.

Thanks in advance!

I would snip them off vs pulling them off. Revealing the rivet negates the sealing capsule. If they are that short and strong just leave them. They won’t come off.
