Don't know if you can do this or not...

I spend almost all of my time flying solo, and a lot of it is in Class B airspace.

My panel only has a Garmin 250XL for Comms, so I can only receive 1 channel.

I have a Sporty's Handheld as backup, and I would like to plug it into the passenger Headset jacks to be able to monitor ATIS over the intercom for short periods.

First question...are there any problems doing so. Second question, SHOULD it work?

I bought an adapter to go from the headset jack on the handheld to the mike jack for the passenger headset, however I could barely hear it. I only tried it once. Not sure if it should work or not, or if it would screw something else up. I've read several threads similar to this, but have never heard anyone else trying this.

Thanks in advance.
