This tool has been removed from release while I work out the bugs - it cut the sample okay, but doesn't work good enough on the entire 10' length. If I get the bugs worked out I will release V 2.0.
Seeing the highly objectionable price of $85 EACH for replacement wing root seals, I invented a 3D printed tool that will allow me to make a 10' seal for less than TWO DOLLARS a piece.
In the spirit of Experimental aviation, I posted my 3D model on Maker World, where you can download it for FREE. Links to all the supplies are in the 3D model description on Maker World.
Clamp the tool in a vice and install only one blade and then steadily pull the seal through (adhesive side down with the backing paper attached), then swap the blade to the other slot and pull the seal through again for the final trimming. REMOVE the blades when not in use! PLEASE be aware, you could seriously cut yourself with the exposed blades during use if you don't keep the blade in the retractable holder.
This tool is distributed free of charge and provided 'as is' without any express or implied warranties. The author disclaims all liability for any damages or issues arising from its use.
Let me know if it worked for you.
