Changing internal battery in Dynon D100

I wasn't the original installer of my Dynon D100, so have a question on removing it.

Does it just slide out of the tray using an allen key, or do I need to go behind it and disconnect the DIN connector and pitot static lines? I'm looking to replace the internal emergency battery which has died.

If you don’t have any service loops for wire connectors and pitot static lines you will have to disconnect those too to get the unit to slide out. After that it’s super easy the battery is on the side with a cover plate. If someone decided to use the optional back screw down point you may need to undo that, idk who would ever want that pain when installing it originally.

FYI, the installation manual discusses an optional second screw, in addition to the retaining screw next to the left-most button. If you loosen the front panel screw and it doesn't slide forward, your builder may have added the second screw.

Apologies, didn't notice that you already provided the same advice about the additional optional screw.

FYI to to OP, In my installation, even without service loops, I was able to slide the D100 out just enough to access the battery compartment without disconnecting connectors or tubing.
