Can a front mounted governor fit under a -4 cowling?

My engine developed a crack, I need new cases. I also want to convert to a CS prop. On the -4, adding a rear mounted governor requires notching firewall, using a front mounted governor doesn’t require notching the firewall , but the real benefit to me is that the case is stronger. Does anybody know if the cowling will clear on a front mounted governor?

It will be tight. The cheek cowl comes down in this area. The choice of the governor will be critical as not all governors are the same size. My guess is you need the smallest one available with arm pointing down at 6 o’clock and it pulls to 3 to make the pitch more course. I eyeballing the same for my -3…..
