Greetings, my cabin heat muff rotates with some pressure and is allowing the scat tubing to move close to the exhaust and eventually develops a hole in the scat tubing. Are you able to tighten the cabin heat muff enough so that it does not rotate? If so, how do you tighten?
They should not rotate if properly tightened. Instructions were included with my heat muffs from Vans which addressed this issue if necessary. Relying on memory, but I think the remedy was to very slightly increase the hole diameters of the end ribs that the rods go through. This results in increased interference between the end ribs and exhaust when tightening the hose clamps.
Mine have always tightened on the pipe by really tightening the end clamps on the shroud. If it won't, I would just make an L bracket held on with the nut on the through stud and then clamp the bracket to the pipe to stop rotation. FWIW
