Building Fairing Tonight

So this weekend I sika-flexed the canopy to the frame and last night installed the side skirts. I did all the sika flexing as I had planned off the airframe and would do it again like that. I shimmed the side skirts minimally with foil back tape so they would follow the canopy side as close as I could make it.

I set it on saw horses and leveled her up and locked in place. Absolutely nothing changed when I reinstalled. Hit the witness marks I installed 6 months ago when I started the canopy frame.

On the saw horses you can get under it easily to do the fillets and pull tape. Had a friend help me reinstall to do the front fairing work.

I indexed the canopy with a #40 drill and spaced it with nylon spacers which I left in place.
I opted to not sika the leading edge. Doing that per plans.

To protect the leading edge of the canopy for the sanding I ran the 3m#33 tape as my "edge". Ran yellow tape onto that edge and then 20 mil pipe tape over that. Others that came before me I copied. Thanks to Bruce H and Bruce S !!!
