We are looking for a box trailer that's 96 inches wide at the door to move Jessica Cox's Impossible Airplane to paint. We've received a generous offer to comp the space and labor for an amazing paint job, but it does mean several hundred miles between where it's being finished and the paint shop. Wings, prop, and tail feathers will be in crates.
Our team has decided it's just a bit too far for a flatbed trailer, given that it's almost finished, but not quite. We also need to move quickly to find this trailer in the next couple of days if we're going to paint it in time for AirVenture. We've got a truck and driver who can move a gooseneck trailer, waiting for word on the East Coast. Sourcing a trailer from the northern Midwest area is also an option.
It's not the end of the world to skip paint for AirVenture. But it would be great if we could make it happen.
