I wanted to quantify how the costs of the AXIS system stacked up if using it as an 'integrated' system, as compated to doing it the old school G3X style - aka, VFR base models with everything else added on.

TLDR: There is about a $6200 saving in doing it this way - plus i would imagine possible advantages with redundancy? (to be discussed).

I am happy to share my excel tool with everyone, but please share it back here if you make approvements! (or if you find any errors).

*I have also not looked at this from an installation standpoint as yet - for instance some installs may need the GAD29 (not sure about this yet), which would reduce the price delta. *

The analysis was done assuming the followng capabilities:
- DUAL big screens with a G5 backup
- IFR GPS
- ADSB in/out transponder
- 2 x VHF com units
- 1 x VHF NAV unit
- Autopilot with a panel mounted controller.
- Remote audio panel

The results:
V1 - All AXIS system with a remote transpoder


V2 - AXIS base models with a GNX 375 & panel mounted VHF NAV


V3 - the AXIS IFR COM for PFD, and AXIS base for MFD with GNX375 panel mounted + panel mounteed VHF NAV


V4 - AXIS base models with a GTN650

I would be interested in the cost of a G3X system for comparison. Have you done that?
