Aluminum or repair composite spinner?

I’ve currently got a fiberglass spinner on my RV6 CS and considering either repair and paint to the existing or replacing with polished aluminum.

My concerns, there are several places that will have to be filled on the composite and I’m concerned about balance. The mechanics have put some serious torque on the screws and made several “divots”. I’m assuming the aluminum would require a matching back plate? I appreciate your input on weight, longevity, etc.

You should be fine making small fiberglass patches to the damaged areas as long as you do the same patch (weight wise) 180 degrees from it to maintain close balance.
A dynamic prop balancing should be done after the spinner repairs are complete.
