Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Steve at AS Flightlines. I ordered over $2,000 in fire sleeve hoses from him middle of last month and honestly expected it would take several days for him to fabricate and ship them. He ended up sending them out the very next day, which was great, except I wasn't expecting them so soon and I somehow missed the shipping notice in my email. Long story short, I wasn't home when they were delivered. It was not until this weekend that I thought I would follow up and check on the order and low and behold there was a shipping notice and the UPS tracking confirmed they were delivered over 10 days ago, including a picture of the box on my porch. The box is nowhere to be found. Someone must have stolen it from my porch. I called Steve to see if there was any recourse on his end, and he said unfortunately no but to go ahead and file the claim with UPS and see what they say. UPS is absolutely no help by the way in dealing with porch pirates.
I went ahead and filed the claim with UPS, but with little hope of any good resolution there, I called Steve again today and told to go ahead and remake my lines. He said they'd already started on replacing the entire order and there'd be no charge. This is why I love this hobby and the people. We take care of each other. Steve's customer service is amazing and so appreciated. I'm now scouring his website looking for an excuse to buy something else from him. I'm hoping my little note of good will might encourage you to do the same. They certainly have earned the business.
