This year the annual fly-in at Jack Holland's private airport (Holland Field), for EAA Chapter 129 (from Bloomington, Il. BMI) will be held June 17th, 2006. This is just a "for fun" fly-in. The chapter will roast a hog with three turkeys stuffed inside it and have chips and drinks for a modest donation of $5 bucks!!All proceeds going to the chapter.Everyone is welcome, we will serve around 11:30 am and until the piggy is all gone. Last year we had about 35 airplanes and feed 125 people.

Jack's airport is located 14.2 nm S. W. of BMI on the 223 radial from BMI VOR. or.........N 40 18 138 W 89 07 421 Elev. 710 I.D. 1IL9 and airport info can be found on airnav.com and is on the Chicago sectional. We have two runways, both grass and in fine shape. 18-36 is 3000ft. with 2400 useable due to "side buildings" on north end. Wires on north end are buired. 29-11 is 2200 ft., no obstruction. 29-11 tees in to 18-36 about mid-way. Depending on the wind, we try to use 29-11 and save north end of 18 for parking. Monitor 123.45.
