Hello community,
novice builder here. I am currently working on the EMP kit and I came across this instruction:
Mark and drill #40 the two holes common to the HS-00003, HS-702, HS-810-1 or HS-814-1 on the forward side of the spar bars, keeping the holes in line with the holes in the aft flange of the HS-00006. See SEC D-D.
However, the plans state that later on AD4 rivets should be set there. And I did not see anything in the instructions that tell me to later on ream to #30.
As I am still very new to the build it is difficult for me to assess how much autonomy I have in making things fit.
I assume that Vans has a reason to instruct builders to use #40 here. But then again, having already seen some of the part trimming pitfalls, it is only fair to second-guess the instructions.
What do the experienced builders recommend here?
