RSA-5AD1 question

I found a good deal on the injection servo but the part# lists for the Lycoming IO540 instead of the IO360..
The suffix and fit is correct and the question is can I adjust idle mixture and be good to go?

You can buy it but you have to get it over to a shop so they can flow test it and set it up for a IO-360. AFP can do that for you.

Thanks, the servo is new, I'm hoping the mixture control can be adjusted to peak EGT in flight. idle mixture can be adjusted on the servo exterior.

Just because the servo is new, doesn't mean you can just bolt it on anything you want. These fuel servos are tuned for the flows needed to feed the engines they will operate on. I had a 360 RSA-5 I got and had to send if off to get flowed correctly for a 320 I wanted to mount it on. They adjusted it and gave it back to me, along with all the documentation of the changes. These a very fine tuned/calibrated devices. Don't mess with them. Send it off and get it done correctly. Whatever money you think you may save, isn't worth the 100K dirt nap you could be taking if this servo goes kaput on you and puts you down. Fuel injection is very touchy......

Yeah I understand new doesn't mean you can bolt it anywhere. I mentioned it's new only because I was hoping to adjust mixture (above idle) with the cockpit mixture control. The air pressure diaphragm and fuel pressure diaphragm are connected to each other and a fuel metering "ball valve".. I've sent an email to Airflow Performance. Waiting to hear back from them.
