Hartzell Prop At Oshkosh '26

I and a whole crew of people will be there all week to answer any propeller questions you have. We've got a slew of talks ready, which are also posted in the official EAA schedule, but here's an easy breakdown:

Our booths are just outside Hangar B. Go inside the red building for propellers and preheat, go inside the white building next door for everything else, including the talks. Entrances are on opposite sides of the buildings, Prop's faces the showline.

I think I'll also be presenting on our new Falcon constant speed prop system for Rotax engines at the Rotax booth on Wednesday, at 3 PM; it's not on the official schedule yet.

There's also meet and greets with various celebrities just outside our booth pretty much every day; notably RV superstars Ken and Austin Rieder from Redline Airshows on Tuesday at 1 PM.

So stop in, even if it's just to get out of the rain or heat, say hi, ask questions, or poke at the displays. Hope to see you there!

FAQS:
  • Will the talks be recorded and posted online?
    • Probably not, sorry
  • Can attendees record a talk and post it online for others?
    • Any talk that I (Trevor) am giving, yes. Ask other presenters if it's ok before recording them.
  • Is there a show special?
    • Yes!
  • Well, what's the show special then?
    • You have to come see us at the show to find out, it's a show special;)
  • Can I (RV builder) buy you (Trevor) a beer?
  • Is a one bladed propeller really the most efficient?
    • Yes. Also no. It's complicated, and you don't want one on your RV.

Will you be discussing and “selling” whirlwind constant speed props as well? Last year when I went to the Hartzell booth, I was dismissed fairly quickly when I asked about WW props and told to “go talk to vans”. Vans doesn’t even sell them. And the prop I was interested in was literally hanging right there in the booth.

I left airventure very disappointed to not get to talk to anyone about WW props. Thankfully on the drive home, I called and spoke to a very nice woman that answered all my questions and had a quote in my inbox within 10 minutes.

Sorry to hear that. Yes, we'll be talking and selling WhirlWinds.

Hi Trevor,

I see a session on WW maintenance, but no " information / sales" as there appears be a couple for Hartzell props for HB. Will the WW products be covered in the Hartzell session as well?

From an outsider, every Whirlwind prop sold is one less sell for Hartzell prop

I'll need some guidance on my Hartzell composite throwing either oil or grease. I have a few photos. I have been advised to not worry about it too much until I get back from OSH this year (about 12 hours of flying time). I will bring the photos with me to see you guys.

Not in specific, but sort of in general. Some of what's in those presentations are things that apply to any propeller, but when it gets specific it is specific to Hartzell.

We'll be happy to help you out. You can also email your photos to [email protected] and/or call us at (937) 778-4200, option 3 if you want a response before seeing us at the show.
