Tried searching everywhere, but any searches typically talk about sump capacity and the level at which oil is lost faster due to being blown out the breather. I want to know how much actual oil goes into a typical Lycoming IO-360 oil filter.
Specifically I am using these:

When I change my oil, I add 7 qts. It's hard to read exact levels unless it has been sitting a while and cold, so I don't know how much of that is consumed by filling the filter right after running it.

Champion Spin-On Oil Filter CH48110-1 Customers told Champion Aerospace the height of a standard oil filter can make it difficult for them to install the filter in certain engine applications.
