Storage unit second hand kit

There's a guy selling an unstarted RV-10 empennage near me that he acquired through purchasing a storage unit. He's got the builder number and other original paperwork. I am planning on calling Vans on Monday to check for issues but thought I'd ask here if anyone could foresee a problem as I likely won't be able to get a Bill of Sale from the original purchaser.

A bill of sale from the current owner along with a copy of his abandoned property release from the storage unit company should suffice to prove change of custody to Van's to register the serial number to you. At least that's what common sense says. 'yMMV.
