Rudder Peddle Extensions

Where do I find Rudder peddle extensions? I think I remember installing some on someone’s RV7.?
Who sell them.
Looking for Clues,,,,,,

Control Approach has some pedals that replace the Vans pedals and the JD Air as stated above. If it's for a RV4 or 8 I made mine that are on the lower pedal.

I REALLY like mine from AntiSplat Aero... they are aluminum square tube.
Those are the ones that my original builder elected to use when he built my airplane. They’ve worked fine for a decade. It isn’t something that I’d want to dogpatch together.

I have a set from AntiSplat aero I'd let go for 50% less than the cost from AntiSplat. I elected to go with the Tinworks rudder pedal extensions as they don't require drilling a hole in the existing bracket.

I don't have pics of them installed but I'm cheap so I used these. Cut 4 pieces of the channel the width of the pedals. Drill the ends. Run the clamp bolts through the channel pieces. They seem good, we'll see when I get it flying.

So if peddle extensions are considered a must have by so many, then why aren't they in the kit?

Great question. It was one of the first things I ordered for my 7A when I bought it. I was having nasty trouble operating the rudder without pushing on the breaks. Installed the AntiSplat ones, and now I am happy.

I have no issues on my plane without them. Can't figure out why so many people need 'em.

Any of us who are flying an RV built by someone else are using rudder pedal positioning that is not of our choosing.
You know you can adjust the pedals, right? There are (should be) holes to relocate the hangar blocks, then you can also shorten (or replace with longer) the links that attach the cables. You shouldn’t be stuck with a poor fitting plane, make it fit YOU! With that being said, I am still a fan of the pedal extensions.. they help keep feet from inadvertently applying brake.

Yes, I know that 🙄. It's much simpler to add rudder pedal extensions and the change of angle helps keep the feet off the brakes.

I have no issues when there is no carpet in the plane, but I installed Classic Aero carpets in my -9A and it lifts my feet enough that I have a hard time manipulating the rudder without touching the brakes. Had to remove the carpet to fly, so hoping pedal extensions might allow for the carpet to come back (which looks lovely).

Is it carpet directly under your heels? Might be better if there was some sort of scuff pad there that allows your heels to move smoothly. I've seen some carpets with that built in.

I believe this is the big issue. Plans built leaves the pedals too far aft. I re drilled my pedal lever hole to better position the brake pedal. I can see why folks with stock setups could get advantage from extenders.
