Any reports on the quality of Prop Governor overhauls performed at Southwest Aero near Seattle?

Yes, I have used them before, excellent service and pricing. Had to overhaul a McCauley governor, Brook did an outstanding job and incorporated several updates that were needed during the work. Highly recommended.

Can you provide any contact or location info for Southwest Aero (or is this a shortened version of their name)?

All my searching just comes up with a company that brokers aircraft sales.

A buddy (@ArlingtonRV) is having the Woodward prop governor from his older RV-8 O/H there. May get it back late this week, along with his Hartzell CS prop which is being O/H at A.C. Propeller Service, Inc. just north of Boeing Field. He was going to have his Woodward governor O/H there also, but they do not do Woodward’s and recommended Southwest Aero instead.

Thanks Carl for getting the info to Scott! Brook at SW Aero is the go-to guru for Woodward governors, he has NOS parts gathered over many years that literally no one else has.....and he knows all the other brands very well too.
