While certainly possible, we should be courteous to other posters. There are people out there who take the time and pride to professionally compose their correspondence. I am going on a limb here, but certainly hope that our community would not contaminate our forum here be posting AI generated content represented as their own. I sometimes use dictation SW and it has AI tools that will format my content like this, but never changes the actual content, just pretties up the formatting.
The account has 146 posts so it looks like at least to me that the user went and did a little bit of research, then copy and pasted it. I don’t see a violation of the spirit of the rules.

I think we should be courteous to people who post here by calling out AI slop and banning it from the forum.
AI lies about stuff all the time and it is a serious safety concern to be using it for building advice.

In general, I dislike AI-generated text. But if QuotaFiller asked an AI, got this answer, and thought "Yes, this is what I would have said, and I know that it's accurate" (or presumably removed any inaccurate details), then I don't see a problem with it.
(The only "problem" - which is on my end, and I can get over it - is the fact that AI often hallucinates, i.e. how I have read lots of text that uses this tone and structure and that contains details that are dead wrong. So, lots of people associate this tone and structure with unreliable posts made by people who don't know what they're talking about. But I'll give QuotaFiller the benefit of the doubt, and trust that the text was checked for accuracy, i.e. that the text is as trustworthy as anything else on VAF... which is maybe not quite 100% but generally pretty good

Perhaps this is worthy of a thread somewhere else. I for one have no interest in AI-generated answers on a forum like this. We flamed kitplanes magazine recently for doing the same thing...

Hi , I will try again ? I’m looking at putting some larger tyres on a RV 6 , ( standard rims & legs). I’m in Australia & want to do some touring where I want to be able to land on gravel strips ( not fields or sandbars) Has anyone put larger Tyres on ( without wheel pants) for this type of airstrip ? P.S I m not AI bot.

The trick with gravel is not beating up the flaps and the tail. The first line of defense seems to be keeping the stock wheelpants. So, 380's on 5" wheels or swap the assembly for a complete 6" setup and maybe RV-10 pants. The tire footprint won't be all that different, but the 6.00 tires have a bit more diameter.
Speaking of diameter, the next problem is brakes. Legacy RV models tend to have Cleveland 199-102 brake assemblies, which are minimal with the 5.00-5 tires. Bump the tire diameter and they are overwhelmed. With 380's, swap for thicker rotors with a Cleveland 199-93 kit or Rapco RA-164-09900 disks with your own spacers and bolts. If you go to 6" wheels you'll get bigger brakes in the deal.
Trigger Gap, Arkansas. Don't touch down in the bare spot.

I see many requests to add the AI thread summary feature to Xenforo and there are even some 3rd party plugins, but nothing native yet. I think this could help with some of the longish threads on VAF. writing abstracts with links to the source posts in the thread is not a bad use case for AI imo.

On the topic of the thread at hand, I would really like to see pics of RV-10 pants on an RV-6. I just moved to a grass strip and am considering doing this myself.

AI is not capable of reliably summarizing and citing even simple threads let alone complex ones. There's a huge problem in scientific literature right now with tons of fake citations being made up by AI.

a shortened summary of the thread is a limited application of the tool. The AI will make mistakes while summarizing, but to a lesser extent than answering wide open research questions. If treated as a starting point to get an idea what is being discussed in the thread i think it can be useful. Probably a net gain, but sure some people will complain since we like to complain just about anything
Python - Over the last 30 years I recall only seeing one, possibly two, photos of an RV-6 with big tyres... probably in the 26" range. Obviously without spats fitted. So it's been done before but as Dan stated above it comes with a direct reduction in brake effectiveness and an increase in likely FOD damage to the flaps and horizontal.
Like Dan, I too have put on the slightly larger 380's and retained my stock wheel pants (they fitted ok but required some trimming of the fibreglass) but I'd not recommend them for really rough strips. "Really rough strips" is of course subjective. Our local airfield is pretty rough and while I hate the clumpy grass surface it's better than not having an airfield at all. 99% of all the landings I do are on grass or dirt runways and those tyres are working out ok, but if I want to go for unimproved strips and places I can't land the RV-6, then I use the Rans S-7 and take advantage of the 26" bush tyres.
I've not got a lot of experience with your outback landing sites but if people are landing in these places with their Cessna's, Bonanza's and Piper's then you'll be fine with the 380's. If they're landing in these places with balloon tyres then best you don't follow them in.
