N124F is out of Phase 1 and is now free to roam (first flight 2/7/2022). One cross country McKinney TX to Booneville AR. Several flights now with my son. Awesome! Kit 1705 only took me 32 years to complete. (Lots of work, family, and other airplanes required my time :) )

Well done, Brad. That's a beautiful airplane.

ECI Titan (I)OX-360
AFP Fuel Injection
Catto 3-Blade
Dynon Skyview (classic)
Dynon 2-axis autopilot
MGL-V6 Comm
Fly LEDs lighting
Oregon Aero leather seats (VERY comfy)

Cruises 162kts TAS, 8500ft, 55% power, 6.5 gal/hr. I can go faster and burn more gas, but why bother? Nice aerobatic performance, though not as effortless as my Pitts was. I can carry a 220lb passenger with full fuel which is better than I feared.

Good for you. You're getting close to Dave Anders fuel economy..... http://cafe.foundation/v2/pdf_cafe_apr/RV-4.pdf

N301FS - just finished my first condition, inspection and paint on the cowling and faring. 110 hours flight time in the first 12 months with no significant issues.

Whoa! If you aren't dressing up as Santa and taking kids for rides you're not living up to that paint job! Awesome.
Thanks. I was giving EAA Young Eagles flight with my last airplane. However, some overzealous kids make me nervous in a tandem airplane. I know I can take the rear stick out. Perhaps that's what I'll do next :)

Free RV-4 manuals

OK, so the manuals are only 25 MB combined but too big to attach to e-mail or to post directly. Here is a link to the two PDF documents. My father, Jim Lenahan, wrote these and he did originally sell them but he died in 1996 and these have been rotting in a box. I'd rather give them out for free to others that love the plane he loved if you find them useful. Please feel free to download and share with others for free.

Tom,

Wanted to drop a line and say thank you for converting these to a PDF, this has some great info that I was looking for; as I just bought a flying RV-4, so trying to learn the ins and outs of it. This has helped out!

Thank you,

Carson

Recent Glam shots to promo the new vinyl graphics services we (fairings-etc) offers.

This has been a really fun restoration project. Last thing to do is the avionics.

Well... it's official. N284SM is an airplane ! RV-4 S/N 1179 took flight the other day and now has about 5 hours on the hobbs. There were only a few minor squawks which we expect to dispatch very soon. She is a very capable, compliant airplane and is an absolute pleasure to fly.
Glad to see you back in the air Mark!!

Another no bling white 4 at a recent lunch run to 103. First flight was about 2 years ago.
A good friend of mine started building it in the 80's. He got 90% of it finished before he got distracted by a warbird project. Took me a couple years to finish the last 90% and get her in the air

I appreciate seeing the all white RV-4s. I'm building an RV-9 that will be all white. I don't have the skills to get fancy and I've prioritized finishing and flying sooner over cosmetic activities.

Very interesting cheek exhaust ! Curious of how that looks with the cowl off, and how it sounds...I have not seen that before.
