Vertical Power contact?

Wondering if anyone can help me with a good contact for Vertical Power. I know they sold a while back to Dynon (I believe) and I am trying to reset my password for my VPX. The contact section on the website is gone and the phone number I have doesn't ring through to anyone.

Any insight is appreciated!

The "red box" in Dynon's product line is not VP-X. Vertical Power is owned by Astronics, inc. and they are in Kirkland, just down the road, but not the same people as far as I know.

I called the Kirkland number a couple of months ago and left voicemail. I got a return call in a couple of hours and my question was answered pretty quick. I think it's a one man operation. So, if no one is answering there, maybe call the Astronics corporate office in NY.

Thanks Ken!

Chad was at the Astronics booth at OSH this year. I talked with him quite a bit then. He made no indication he was not going to be there this year. Of course that was 6 months ago so you may know more about him since OSH than I do.

Chad is still at Astronics although he is not point for VP products.

Anyone gotten though to Vertical Power? I've left a voicemail and emails over a week ago with no reply. I've now sent to all three email addresses and the voicemail on the number ending in 1658. Any other suggestions? This isn't good for customer service.

Hey Brian,

We've had some phone routing issues and trying to figure that out. The 1658 number should ring direct to Suraj Patel and Jack Detweiller...but for some reason, randomly, it is routing to regular Astronics support and going to voicemail. They are working on figuring it out. Also, the info@ email is no longer a monitored email address, so please use [email protected]. The support guys are on it there, and I also get copied. Sorry for the delay...we are all good and willing to help! Technology bites us sometimes.

Chad, you need update the web site email address, and take down the number until that is fixed. It's been close to two weeks now, and that's not acceptable. I'm upset that the email on the website isn't correct and maybe I should take Brian's advise and take this thing out and return it to you. Get your product support fixed.

I did just talk to Suraj, after calling and redialing 7 times, and he does have my email, so we are headed in the right direction.

Just for the internet's knowledge and so there isn't a start of any quality concerns and/or reliability issues, my question is about an installation spec on the PPS, not an issue with the products.

(the question is on the max of 2.5mOhms ground spec on the PPS vs 18awg the manual says is sufficient, as 18awg is over 2.25mohms in a little over 4 inches per ac43.13 wire resistance numbers, so what is needed 18awg or 2.5? If it's a hard 2.5mOhms limit, there needs to be a limit on the length of the 18awg)

“Hey guys, don’t bother experimenting with modern technology in your experimentals… Better to stick with dynamos, goggles, and fabric wings.” (Friendly sarcasm for all of the flying luddites…)

I opted for vpx and my support experience has been fine- easily answered questions about installation. Glad to see the same is still occurring.
