I thought I would elaborate on something that hasn't been very clear with what's involved in installing the RV-14 Yaw Bracket in the RV-10. I used the Garmin bracket on my first 10 but decided to save some money this time around. It is such and easy mod and will be about half the price. Garmin Bracket $690. Vans RV-14 G3X install kit $203 (also have to order the bow from stein for $125 if using the vans kit) Now to the difference. The bulkhead already has 3 holes stamped in them. The Vans bracket requires you to make a .063 spacer between the bulkhead and the lower bracket mount to fill an ever so slight gap. Then you match drill the holes from the Vans bracket into the bulkhead. I plan on dimpling the original center hole on both sides in the bulkhead and flush riveting it so that there is no interference with the underlying rivet and the yaw bracket. Hopefully the pictures make sense...
