Thinking of Changing Tailwheel Fork

This is my modification of a stock tail wheel…

Ok, in the interest of illustrating multiple solutions, here's what I did with the stock yoke/fork (disregard the extra stuff on top - that was the locking feature)

On my previous RV-8. Modified the Van's setup by dropping the axle an inch and attached a one piece curved guard to the side of the arms. It worked well.



Subsequently went to the Bell fork and later the JDAir bearing yoke and fork.
