First Flight

7A #73840 Update
Bottom wing skins going on. The little things always take more time than you think - Pitot and AOA tubes, Magnetometer wiring, fitting temp sensor, flap brace and aileron fairing etc. Used a Jedi mind trick and my wife suggested storing the finished parts in the spare bedroom so I have space to start the fueselage

38-06 step 2 one C-01426 too tight
I have one C-01426 canopy latch pin that's too tight, I've checked it both left and right, and it's way too hard to get to move (light rubber mallet does move it). My second pin is fine, in both sides, so it's not the mounts, it's a single pin. Do I just sand it down a bit? Any suggestions?

Well, I've officially started building an RV-7A I'm the third owner of this Kit and if you haven't read Vans warnings about buying older kits, particulary the bit about unboxed, original packaging you should. When I unboxed the kit for the first time in its 14 year life, this is the result of...

Bend-a-Drill
I'm sure I'm not the first to post this but, here's a simple way to "bend" a # 40 or 30 drill around a corner enough to get a clear "shot" at whatever hole your trying to drill ... HFS
