GMU-11 Question
I’m doing the same thing with my RV-4 except that I have the mounting bracket from Stein.
The wires for the trim servo & the tail light (uAvionix TailBeacon) will run right under the GMU-11.
I’m concerned about possible interference. What do you guys think….YES or No.

Wirejock’s Louver Setup
FWIW. I added blast gates to my louvers. They are only ground adjustable. Blast gates are several layers of fiberglass, slotted for the screws. Nutplates in the louvers inside. Loosen screws. Take a pick and slide the gate open or closed. Tighten the screws. Very little weight gain.

Aileron - section 21-09 step 2 mistake
I was congratulating my self on riveting the aileron bottom skin all by myself (way to go!) and had blind riveted one of the main ribs. I turned the aileron around to rivet the other rib and see that the overlap was incorrect (aw shoot…). Lots of rivets to drill out if this needs to change...

GMU-11 Installation Location?
Hi, After lurking here for at least a decade, I recently purchased a flying RV-7A with a steam-gauge "4-pack" (no AI or DG) & TruTrak Vision AP. I'm planning to install a pair of G5s & a GMU-11 for now, with plans to move to a G3X panel later. I've searched the forums, but haven't located...

Cowl Flaps?
I'm contemplating installing an Anti-Splat cowl flap and I'm looking for installation advice. I have (I believe) a problem with engine compartment temps, which are creating problems under the cowl: hard restarts when hot variable fuel pressures when taxiing premature failure of red cube...
