Can't claim to have invented the idea. Pretty sure folks have been doing it for years. The EZ crowd comes to mind.
You're welcome to some Lycoming photos to go with those upside down Continental cylinders
And better make sure folks know to put a little strip of sealant between the outside of the glass/silicone wrap and the inside of the aluminum wrap. Don't want any air sneaking between them and doing nothing.

I've been scratching my head for a couple days now on this step. Step 1 says to mark the skin edges... plural... on the trailing edge and trim to the line. This would leave a portion of the lightening hole visible on the top, but not the bottom. Figure 2 clearly shows no lightening hole on the...

Everyone knows how hard it is to get the lower baffles to fit tight and not leak. Mark Frederick does his F-1 Rocket this way and we did it on an RV-8 running at RENO. My understanding is Dan Horton came up with the idea. So now, pics and instructions are on the JamesAircraft.com website...
