Prop Overhaul times

I am looking at a couple of planes in the U.S. with CS props, one of which has been 8 years since OH. I have seen a couple of different versions of how frequently CS props need to be inspected/overhauled in Canada; what is the interval, and are the rules the same for homebuilts as for certified aircraft? Also, what do Canadian prop shops tend to charge for overhaul of a Hartzell 2 blade? Thanks in advance.

Overhaul time

Props are usually 10 year. Watch for HUB AD's on Hartzel and check on others. Could be 5 year or??
Replaced 2 hubs and got Hartzels overhauled on my twin and was 20,000.Ouch....(The old hubs were a mess when they went to overhaul the props).
Get serial number and model and call a prop overhaul shop for a quote and check SB's and AD's is my best advice.
