Molded rear window

seagull

Well Known Member
The clasic -12 has the tank filler neck high and there is the posibility of the original flat rear window getting splashed with gas or funes from the tank causing crazing.

The replacment window is curved and I believe a different type of plastic.
Does anyone have experience with the curved window and does it suffer from the same crazing if splashed with gas?

I installed the molded back window in my 12. It has over 600 hrs now, has had gas poured on it by careless line boys several times and I have no crazing or discoloration. I bought a smoke color to help with a sun shade for the gas tank. Works great. Tom
