Landing Gear Mounts Question

I’m putting the landing gear mounts in my 7A. I’m not going to lie, it’s pretty miserable. After I finally got one installed and the bolts tightened up, I drilled one of the holes in the side skin that goes through the doubler plate and then the steel flange on the landing gear mount. I noticed that it’s short on edge distance on the gear mount by about 1/16 of an inch. As far as I can tell, there is no way to adjust this. The holes in the skins are predrilled so I’m guessing it just is what it is. I didn’t want to continue until I know for sure. Am I missing something? IMG_2463.jpeg

Are you using the edge distance requirements for steel? They are less stringent than those for aluminum.

No, I’m not. I’ve heard steel has a different ED requirement, but Ive never seen anything on paper to confirm it. I’ll have to do some more research. I called tech support this afternoon and they didn’t have an answer either. They’re gonna call me back tomorrow. Oh the joys…
