Fuel sight tube

Has anyone ever seen or have a fuel-sight gauge on a header tank? The float gauge gets stuck and an actual sight gauge can be far more accurate and totally reliable.

Yes - common in Lancair builds. My Lancair IV neighbor that flew 38 hours from Guam to Jacksonville FL non-stop swears by his.

The trick on the 3 is that

- You can't see the top of the tank through the panel
- The panel doesn't go vertically all the way to the bottom of the tank

So I was thinking, what about putting the sight tube on the right pedestal on the F-303 bulkhead (the one by your legs that the panel is attached to)
