Front fuel tank attach point leak

Hello all

Noticed this the other day on a preflight.

Pulled the tank today, I believe it's the center rivet leaking with no pro seal. Can I seal over top of cured sealant?

Sending unit plate has leaked since I bought it 3 yrs ago. 2003 QB tanks.

Planning on proseal plate flange. Then screws, along with the sending unit screws.

What do you do with the sending unit ground? Proseal over the too of that too?

You can clean off any loose sealant with a plastic scraper and then use scotchbrite to abrade the existing sealant. Clean with Acetone or MEK and final clean with Coleman lamp fuel or toluene. I have resealed many RV tanks and airliners as well at my day job. PR1422 is my go to sealant.

I also suggest that McMaster-Carr sealing screws can help prevent leaks from the fuel sender and cover plate.

Done. We'll see if she holds
