Dynon dek d180

Lots of us must have this unit. Works great but now mine it's 15 years old and is getting dim even though it has the extra bright screen. Dynon for $700 will replace the screen with the regular screen with no guarantee that it will be any brighter. That is the quandary.
Has anybody fixed this?

I sent my D180 into Dynon. They fixed fine.

Same. They did a great job - for me they went above and beyond.
