Cooling hose Springs

Does anyone have any hints on inserting the FF-1208-C into the FF-1208-A/B. The longest 1208-C is stuck at the edge of the hose.

I tried pliers and inserting a pipe, but it just compressed the 1208-C,

Thanks

Try grabbing the first coil of the spring with a pair of longnose pliers, then twist in a direction that will “wind” the spring tighter ( In the direction of the wind). This should decrease the diameter and loosen it from the sides of the hose.

I sloshed some soapy water around inside the hose and then twisted the spring as JanZ suggested. Then rinse the soap out.

All of the above plus use pliers to put a small inward bend to the leading coil wire -- sorta like the leading tip of a screw.

This is what works .
Spraying a bit of soapy water inside the hose can also help if you still have trouble (just rinse it out well with just water when finished).

Use hot water with plenty of dish soap and screw the spring in, the hot water will make the hose more plyable...
