Stops on the way to Oshkosh

Stopped by there last year after Oshkosh on a motorcycle tour just to get the lay of the land. Nice spot offering grass strips & paved and some on-airport camping. No shortage of food & drink in Spearfish, not so much near the airport.
 
Having "retired" this year, and eyeing someplace cooler for future July and August, I'm a couple steps closer to my long stated dream of "...being like Tom and Bonnie when I grow up"!
Looking forward to seeing you guys next week.

ok bummer. I have industrial rubber molded safety ear plugs that I think would work with the sound tubes. Thinking I could drill a 1/16 hole and insert them? Anybody else do this for optimum external noise sound deadening? Sorry for the thread drift I should have found your post not too long ago to ask this

I'm coming from the SW but Spearfish sounds like a fun destination. Maybe I'll catch it on the way back to SL to see my daughter.
