Greetings VAF!

For many years, our users have enjoyed the convenience of recording and storing aircraft flight and engine data from the G3X Touch flight display system, using flyGarmin.com. G3X Touch Flight Data Logs upload wirelessly via Connext technology to a mobile device running the Garmin Pilot app - with automatic cloud storage to flyGarmin.com once you connect to the Internet. This creates a seamless hands-off path for transferring Flight Data Logs from the G3X Touch Flight Display to your flyGarmin account.

Garmin is excited to announce a new enhancement to the flyGarmin Aircraft Flight Log tool, providing pilots and aircraft owners with the ability to automatically share aircraft flight logs with a growing list of analysis-service providers. Once an integration is established, you can visit these websites to see advanced analytics, view dashboards, and review data. This extends the background task of automatically sharing Flight Data Logs generated by the G3X Touch, to your analysis-service provider of choice.

There are free offerings and/or discounts available exclusively for FlyGarmin customers for these services.

Supported analysis-service providers:
  • Crewchief Systems
  • FlySto
  • Jet-Care
  • Navi AI
  • Savvy Aviation
  • Brazos Safety Systems
  • Additional Integrations Coming Soon!
Many users already use these services today to gain deeper insights into aircraft performance and data for their Experimental Amateur Built aircraft. Existing accounts can easily establish the desired integration using the instructions provided on this page.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

Thanks,

Justin

Justin, I spoke with Garmin Pilot support yesterday about my aircraft logs not transferring from G3X. My pilot logbook transfers and is available on FlyGarmin, but not the aircraft logs. I was told it was a known issue with G3X. Do you have an estimate on the resolution?

I got the same response today. Lots of fanfare but doesn't seem to work for G3X users yet.

Do you need a Garmin pilot subscription to use the auto sync G3X-Pilot-Flysto? (Assuming the log upload issue is fixed)

Reason I ask is that I currently just plug the SD card into my phone every few flights and upload it to Flysto. Simple. I’d be highly unlikely to pay a (another) fee to not have to do this.

While I’m at it… Everyone’s life would be so much easier if GADM worked on iOS.
NGL every interaction I have with that process sucks a lot of joy out of flying.

Good Morning,

Can you please reach out to us directly at [email protected]?

We suspect there is an account setting that is preventing the integration from working as it should.

Yes, the streaming of logs off of the display to a portable device is a function of the Garmin Pilot application.

Thanks,

Justin
