In search of RV4 Pilot to help me get some RV4 front seat time

Thegtguy

I'm New Here
I’m looking for some help to gain proficiency in an RV4 in order to become an insurable partner. It seems that the best way to proceed with that would be to meet, fly tandem from the back seat to establish a feel for things, then move up to the front seat. I'm envisioning perhaps 5 hours or so over 4 or so flights, perhaps over two days. I'm based in Pemberton, BC Canada but I'm perfectly happy to fly to wherever you are. Ideally somewhere in BC or the PNW. If you are an RV4 pilot without an RV4, it may be possible to fly you to my location and work out of the aircraft we have in Pemberton.
I’m located in Whistler but happy to travel.
I currently have approximately 8 hours of dual tailwheel time in other aircraft.

Thank you for your time!

When I purchased my 4 I had only 30hrs TW time split between a PA18 Supercub and a Citabria. The transition was not really a big deal. I would suggest you consider getting time in a 6, 7, 8 or 9 which will probably easier than the 4 and more likely to have dual brakes (except the 8). I have time in the 4 (450hrs), 7 (800hrs) and 8 (125hrs and counting). Since the RV's fly very much the same transitioning from one to the other is very easy. Send me a PM and we can exchange #s if you would like to chat.
